In June of 1999, Perreca Electric was awarded one of the largest contracts at that time in its 50-year history.  Clayco Construction Company turned to Perreca for all the electrical aspects to get a 2.5 million square foot warehouse/distribution facility for The Gap/Old Navy up and running.  The accelerated schedule provided challenges for Perreca.  In addition to this being one of the largest contracts in Perreca's past it was one of the largest jobs in the Hudson Valley at that time. The completed building covers 55 acres.  Perreca was there from start to finish to ensuring satisfaction of all parties.  Value: $25,000,000.00

 
Fire ravages the Roseton Electric Generating Plant in Newburgh, N.Y. the night of March 18, 1993, the heat from the fire is so intense that cables and equipment melt and are excessively damaged. The following day at 10 a.m. Perreca mobilizes management, supervision and electricians onsite to begin assessment of damage and plan for repairs.

Seven months later after replacing over 1 million feet of power and control cable, switchgear, protective relays, wiring of equipment replaced, installing new lighting and performing testing and documentation in an asbestos/PCB environment Perreca completes its $7 million electric portion of the project.
